Builder shows style in Waterford, other communities

In May, Tim and Ann Marie Necaise moved into their Waterford home on a cul-de-sac. The family of three knew they wanted to live in Waterford. When they were looking at homes they might want to live in, they looked at a few homes built by local builders. The Necaises toured homes showcased by builders during the 2005 Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association's Parade of Homes.

"It was our first venture into building a home," Tim Necaise says.

Their research paid off and they became interested in Logan Homes.

"We saw a plan under construction and that appealed to us," Tim Necaise says. Logan Homes was the builder of the home the Necaises liked.

According to the couple, the construction process was "super. We were told it would be built within six months. They did it in four-and-a-half months," Necaise says.

"[The Builders] could not have been more professional. They called every week," Ann Marie says. "we've recommended-without hesitation-[Logan Homes] to friends in town. We're happy with the quality. It was overall a pleasant surprise. we didn't think it would be pleasant or fun. They really worked with us."

Tim agrees. "Logan Homes has a formal process. Logan and the client agree to appointments and milestones prior, during and after the building. They are very well organized. It was impressive that they have [the process] and follow it."

The home the Necaises and their son, gabriel is the Bellamy model, which is a three bedroom, two bath home with a two-car garage and a bonus room and bath over the garage.

The standard Bellamy entrance greets visitors with a 36-foot by six-foot covered porch. Immediately to the right from the foyer is a bedroom, with shared access to a bathroom. Access to the dining room, which opens to the living room and kitchen, is to the left of the foyer. The foyer leads into the spacious living room, which provides access to another bedroom and the shared bathroom. The living room shares a wall with a backyard covered porch. The kitchen leads into the breakfast nook; both are easily accessible from the living room. The master bedroom and bath are located through a doorway between the kitchen and dining room. The garage and laundry facilities are accessed by the same doorway.

Logan Homes (910/452.7175) has several other home plans to choose from. Besides Waterford, Logan Homes may also be found in Palmetto Creek of the Carolinas in Bolivia and St. James Plantation in Southport.
