Downtown Wilmington is home to many events, such as concerts, festivals, and the farmers market. Every Saturday morning during the summer, streets are lined with vendors from all around for the Farmer’s Market, where shoppers can find things such as fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, and all kinds of art handcrafted from local artisans. On Friday nights in the summer as part of the  Downtown Sundown Concert Series you’ll find free public concerts, held right in the heart of downtown. Don’t miss the North Carolina Azalea Festival, Wilmington’s annual community celebration and the largest festival of its kind in the state.
