2019 Independence Day Events near Bluffton, SC

The Fourth of July in the Lowcountry is a fun and exciting time - with so many options and things to do! We decided to compile a short list of our top 5 things to do in the Lowcountry this Independence Day! The Salute from the Shore

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than to salute all of our Armed Forces who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom?  Head out to the beaches at 1 P.M.. from Charleston all the way to Beaufort to enjoy a fly over from an F-18s aircraft and a C-17 Globemaster. July 4th Parade in Harbour Town

Parades can be a great way to spend time with your friends and family, all the while showing off your red, white, and blue spirit.  This year in Harbor Town, the Sea Pines Resort is putting on the annual Fourth of July Parade.  The Parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m., but if you would like to be in the parade to show off your Independence Day spirit just go to the Sea Pines Resort page to sign up!

34th Annual Hilton Head Island Firecracker 5K

If you are wanting to support a couple of good charities, then head on over to Jarvis Creek Park in Hilton Head on July 4th at 8 a.m. for the Annual Firecracker run/walk 5K.  This event brings in over 1,700 people and a percentage of the money made that day will go to a few local charities.  To sign up for this event head over to the BearFootSports website to get registered and find out more details.

4th of July Fireworks Show

Somehow the holiday doesn't feel complete without a spectacular fireworks display. We found two exceptional spots to go and view those beautiful fireworks after the sun goes down.

Our first pick is the Port Royal 4th of July Celebration. Head over to the Sands Beach in Port Royal from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and enjoy the fireworks display that the Town of Port Royal and Historic Port Royal Foundation put on.  There will be games, food, and other entertainment for all ages to enjoy!

Our second pick is the Harbour Town 4th of July Fireworks, on Hilton Head Island. This fireworks display is over in Harbour Town and is put on by the Sea Pines Resort.  The event begins at 6 p.m. and there will be all types of food, entertainment, and even live music for you and your family to enjoy.
