Change up the floral arrangements:

Putting out a fresh set of flowers can be a great way to add that summertime feel to your home.  Even putting them in a usual container can add some fun to your home.  Summer flowers can include peonies, daffodils, or sunflowers, but the best flowers of all are the ones that your children or grandchildren pick for you.  Check out an article by Homesteading for a list 35 Stunning Blooms Perfect For The (summer) Season.

Switching out the linens:

Getting a duvet or pillow inserts are the best and most inexpensive way to always change something up in your house.  By doing this you can change the duvet cover or pillow covers with the season, or whenever you need a different pop of color!  Patterns and soft pastel colors are the best to use during this summer season.  For more ideas of good summer colors, take a look at this article by Good Housekeeping: The Best Summer Color Trends to Try at Home in 2019.

Summer-ize your Fireplace:

The use of your fireplace quickly declines as the temperatures outside rise. By removing the logs and adding some foliage or beach décor, you can transform the warmth of your fireplace into a tropical summertime piece.

Take the party outside:

The best part about summer time is the ability to enjoy the outside with all of your friends and family.  So creating the perfect outside patio is an important part of decorating.  By choosing the right outdoor seating arrangement, and adding a few extra pillows you can create the comfort of your living room right on your back porch!  Don’t forget to add string lights in the back yard to light up those evening summer parties.
