Holden Beach, North Carolina is just a short drive from many of the Brunswick County communities we build in, such as St. James Plantation, Compass Pointe and Brunswick Forest. Named as the “Top Family Beach in the Country” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine, Holden Beach offers its visitors small-beach-town charm and natural wildlife. Explore this beautiful community by kayak along the Intracoastal Waterway, and find yourself amongst turtles and dolphins.

Holden Beach is an eight-mile-long barrier island surrounded by water, providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy an active-outdoor lifestyle such as stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, surfing, boating, kayaking, swimming and more.

After a day of playing on the water, reward yourself with a meal at one of several local restaurants that sit along the Intracoastal Waterway. To see Holden Beach in full swing, visit during the North Carolina Festival by the Sea, a celebration with arts, crafts and seafood that draws in people from all over.
