Southport was named "America's Happiest Seaside Town" by Coastal Living Magazine in 2017. This is a charming town that attracts visitors from all over the world. You might recognize its streetscapes and picturesque beauty in films such as Safe Haven, A Walk to Remember and The Secret Lives of Bees, and even television shows such as NBC’s Revolution and Stephen King’s, Under the Dome. Soak in a bit of history by visiting the North Carolina Maritime museum or the waterfront park.
