While it isn’t the most fun activity you could be spending your time doing, it is necessary to keep up with to ensure that you don’t encounter major drainage problems down the road. 

On the topic of keeping up with outdoor work, it’s also important to continue to rake the leaves in your yard throughout the season as leaving them can harm the growth and health of your grass in the spring.
