Carolina Beach State Park

The Sugar Loaf trail is an excellent choice for an afternoon hike. This 3.4-mile loop trail takes you along the beautiful Cape Fear River, into the woods, and ends at a historic Native American Lookout, known as Sugar Loaf.

Brunswick Nature Park 

The Brunswick Nature Preserve trail is a 5.5 mile lightly trafficked loop, featuring views of the untouched wetlands.
