Christmas Events in the Lowcountry - Beaufort and Bluffton, SC

During the holidays there is nothing better than spreading the holiday cheer with friends and family. What better way to spread that cheer than bundling up in your favorite jacket, piling in the car, and going on some holiday adventures.  Below are a few holiday activities in and around the Lowcountry  that people of all ages can enjoy.

Harbour Town Lights

It always feels special when you’re able to give a little bit extra around the holidays, and Harbour Town is just the place to do it!  Come out and visit the town to gaze upon all of the twinkling figures and different lights they have on display.   There are many great activities that the kids can enjoy as well as live entertainment.  Then when you’re ready to go you can drop a canned good (or two), or even an unwrapped Christmas present into the well for The Deep Well Project

Visit with Santa

This will be an event children are sure to love!  Come out and visit Santa in the Shelter Cove Town Center and knock out some last-minute Christmas shopping while there!  On December 21st and 22nd from 5 to 7 pm Santa will be there so all the children can tell him what is on their wish list!

18th Annual Polar Bear Swim

This event is not for the faint of heart! If you are seeking a little adventure this season, this event might be for you! On December 31st at 10 am come out and join all the other “polar bears” for a chilly plunge into the Harbour Town Pool.  Afterwards please feel free to warm yourself back up with some refreshments and hot chocolate!

Dove Street Festival of Lights

From December 1st all the way to January 4th , at the Shelter Cove Town Center, everyone can enjoy the beautiful twinkling lights while walking down the street. While enjoying the lights there will also be musical performances and assorted holiday events to take in as well!
