Wrightsville Beach is known for its white sands and picturesque setting. Whether you are oceanfront, harborside or at a marina, there is always something to do and see. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets on its surrounding waters. Johnnie Mercer’s Pier is a unique place to fish, and is the only concrete pier in North Carolina. Extending 1200 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, it offers ample opportunities for fishing and panoramic views.

For those seeking exercise, try what’s known to the locals as “The Loop,” a trail that circles the inner island. Wrightsville Beach also offers top spots for surfing and stand up paddle boarding, and is home to many surfing and SUP competitions. Coffee shops, restaurants and boutique shops can all be found here along with a vibrant nightlife and ample bars and restaurants.

History lovers can explore at the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History, located in the turn of the century Myers Cottage, where visitors can learn more about the 100-year history of Wrightsville Beach. For a slower change of pace, immerse yourself in nature and explore Masonboro Island, an undeveloped 8 ½ mile long barrier island just south of Wrightsville Beach.
